I'd like to see this anomalous adverb clause turned into a proper sentence. @Neron's suggestion — "Jeg går til kirken bare av plikt til min mor." — is a quite good one; it means approximately: "I go to church just out of duty to my mother." The current adverb phase is incomplete: "Not out of duty to my mother."
@heranje seems to have been active only in 2011, contributing 200 or so Norwegian sentences as translations from English.
