Weblioによると
「犬も歩けば棒に当たる」に相当することわざは、オランダでは「駆け回る犬は、いずれ食い物を見つける」、スペインやメキシコでは「船に乗らない者は船酔いしない」、トルコでは「座っているライオンよりも歩き回るキツネの方が良い」であるとしている。

[#537811] Nothing ventured, nothing gained. (blay_paul) *audio*
Also, perhaps this could be added.

- This is apparently a proverb, but I've never heard it.
- Google searches also show pages that attribute this to Golda Meir. Here is one such page. https://www.socratic-method.com...t-finds-a-bone
Turkish: Oturan aslandan gezen tilki yeğdir. 「座っているライオンよりも歩き回るキツネの方が良い」(A wandering fox is better than a sitting lion)
I couldn't find a Dutch phrase on Google, maybe someone knows a Dutch person who could find one.
I wasn't aware it had been unlinked from those sentences. It's a fairly well-known proverb and has a Wikipedia page: https://ja.wikipedia.org/wiki/%...81%9F%E3%82%8B
I think I'll remove it from the set of example sentences; proverbs are not much use there. I can't really think of an English equivalent.
