Good morning, El. In your sentence above, does "offspring" mean "product or outcome"? Is it countable or uncountable? If countable, does it need to be plural,"offsprings"?

Hi duran,
"Offspring" is a plural noun. What I meant in my sentence was that it's the "progeny", i.e., descendants (such as a child, a plant, an animal). The original sentence in Esperanto refers to children or descendants. "Offspring" is sort of a collective noun, referring to children, (animal) cubs etc.

It does not have plural (*offsprings), because it is plural in itself.
My Turkish dictionary refers to:
döl döş (descendants, progeny)
See also here:

The second meanings of offspring, "merchandise, crop, harvest, yield" suit my translation.
Thank you. Take care.

"of one's" make me stumble. Doesn't this sound as if there weren't more than one aŭthor in the world?

I think Nero is right. "of the mind" or "of our mind" or "of the human mind".
By the way, "mind" doesn´t mean "brain".

Actually, I wrote "of one's mind" because I intended to suggest that there are quite a few potential authors (or minds), rather than one mind etc.
@Manfredo, I accept your comment.

@Nero, hope I addressed your comment by my reply above.

If "one" sounds as if there weren't more than one author in the world and if everbody has got a brain and a mind in it, why don't you say "of the minds, of our minds or human minds? In fact,"one" means "any body" in this sentence. I mean, one means an author here, and every author has got his own books.

Indeed, duran, this was exactly my intention! :)
Actually, you can (and are invited to) add your other suggested variants.

I don't want to write English sentences, but you can write instead of me. Take care.

You too!
I'll try to add those variants during the next times.

Thanks.
