Terrible English matches.
やってみましょう is only really like "Let's try it".
Also since there is no subject in the Japanese, "it" is needed in English.

Also this Japanese translated as "let's try (something)" can't be used as meaning the use of effort in an action.

やってみましょう could have a lot of different translations depending on context.

Did you mean to write that, since there is no object in the Japanese, "it" is needed in English? Perhaps I'm misunderstanding.

やってみる does not imply that effort is made.
