why?
I was sure that would be quite clear. But I've just looked it up and learnt something new (surprising new for me) :
An imperative sentence gives a command. It usually end with a period, but it may also end with an exclamation point (!).
Until now I have been convinced, that an imperative sentence always has to end with and exclamation point (in all languages). Apparently I was wrong. So withdrew my comment. But nevertheless it's a pity. A conseqeunt application of [.], [?] and [!] would be of advantage in language learning, I suppose.
