Folks, we've had 33 posts over the last week related to a request to display Tatar in both Latin and Cyrillic scripts. At this point, we don't need any more comments offering support for the idea, examples, statistics, or details about the scripts. I've written a GitHub issue page linking to the posts here. Now the request needs to be evaluated to figure out whether, how, and when it could be implemented. If the person who does this needs to get in touch with you, he knows how to find you.

A list of a significant number of transcription pairs. A transcription pair is a sentence and its expected transcription. "A significant number" is sufficient to fully illustrate how the transcription system works.

Tatar script (Tatar: татар әлифбасы / tatar älifbası / تاتار اليفباسی) is the written form of the Tatar language. Various writing systems have been used at various times:

Arabic script – until 1927; a small number of Tatars in China, Afghanistan, and Iran still use the Arabic script;
Latin script – from 1927 to 1939; attempts were made to revive the Latin script at the turn of the 20th and 21st centuries; Tatars in Turkey, Finland, the Czech Republic, Poland, the United States, and Australia currently use the Tatar Latin script.[1]
