The Autobahn is a system of highways. I think it is referred to as "the Autobahn".

Were you suggesting it be "The Autobahn" (capital for The)?

@danepo. Do you want me to change it to "the expressway" or is "the Autobahn" OK?

It seems that the English word "autobahn" is only used for the expressways in German-speaking countries, while the German word "Autobahn" is also used for those in other countries.

(See for example: http://de.wikipedia.org/wiki/Li...hnen_in_China)

If that's the case, I think you should also add a sentence using a more general word.

I'd also suggest using some English word that describes it. For example, the M25 motorway in England (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/M25_motorway) is exactly what we would call "Autobahn".

We use "expressway" in Australia, so I've changed it to that.
