Ne nepre. Abundas ekzemploj de ambaux variantoj kaj en vortaroj kaj en Interreto. Ankaux mi staris antaux tiu demando kaj decidigxis por "de", cxar gxi (tute subjektive, kompreneble) en miaj oreloj sonas iom malpli peza.

Ah, tio estas bona argumento, kvankam ne tute trafa en cxi-tiu kazo, cxar ne povas esti dubo, kiu estas la auxtoro (nome "li"). Mi tamen sxangxos la frazon.
