Intelinka is a canonical proper modifier, and the language you speak goes in a kepeken phrase, or more rarely in a lon phrase.

I understand your version as meaning "I speak in Interlingua.", which is a slightly different concept. What I figure out from the Toki Pona lessons I had myself and some internet sources, another possibility, more logical than yours, is "mi sona e toki Intelink(uw)a.", lit. "I know to speak Interlingua."

Can you explain, why and how my version is wrong and what my sentence means?

The three ways I know of to do this are:

1) Use my bookmarklet at http://tatoeba.org/spa/wall/show_message/4507 (Make sure to use the updated version below. Also, CK added it to his page at http://bit.ly/tatoeback so you can just drag it into the bookmarks bar in your browser.)

2) Use Swift's form at http://martin.swift.is/tatoeba/

3) Simply enter a URL in the form of http://tatoeba.org/links/add/a/b where "a" and "b" are the ids of the sentences. (Replace "add" with "delete" to delete links.)

Think of it like this:
"mi toki e ijo lon toki Inli" = "mi toki e ijo" + "mi toki lon toki Inli"

If you say "mi toki e toki", you say "I'm communicating a language". Maybe you're sending the grammar of your newest conlang to a friend?

"toki lon toki" is official, by the way. :)
