I’m not as active as I used to be anymore, due to my increased workload, but I still try to contribute when I can.
My autism and unconventional childhood make language a bit difficult for me but I try my best.
No matter the language, I contribute when I feel confident in my sentences, and get native checks as necessary, including for English.

My languages
🇺🇸
-I speak West Coast English (California), with influence from Internet English.
-Some of my colloquialisms come from Gen Z slang and AAVE from my peers.
-I started learning it at age 8 after immigrating to the US, and fully graduated from my school's English Learners program at age 13.
-(I was very poorly socialized in Mexico, and flourished socially in the US, so my English developed more thoroughly.)
-I use it at school and work, and sometimes home.
-I consider it my dominant and most comfortable language, but not as much as an educated native speaker.

🇲🇽
-I was born in Sonora, Mexico, in a northern rural community, and mostly lived there until I was 8.
-I’ve spoken Mexican/US Chicano Spanish all my life to varying degrees, depending on where I lived at the time, but English is more comfortable.
-I use it at home and sometimes at work.
-To improve my job prospects, I was certified fluent (CEFR C1 - oral) by LTI on Apr 2024.

***I still make mistakes in both English and Spanish, as a result of my erratic development due to my autism, frequent displacement and inadequate education in Mexico. Nonetheless I'm proud of my imperfect multilingualism.***

I used to contribute audio in English, but my speaking was deemed too unnatural to be used as examples on Tatoeba, due to my speech impediments and lack of true native language.

🇵🇼
-I started learning Toki Pona in the middle of 2022 through trial and error and very helpful teachers, after falling in love with the language and culture.
-I still ask teachers on "kama sona" when I have doubts.
-I mainly speak it in Discord with friends.
-I consider myself at an upper-intermediate level.

🇯🇵
-Japanese was the first language I started learning as a hobby, back in 2018, and I still speak it poorly due to lack of consistent study and practice.
-I mainly speak it in Discord or LINE with friends, or use it to read simple stories or surf the internet.
-I think I’m lower-intermediate level for understanding.
-Functionally, I'm lower-intermediate for writing, but only upper-beginner if judged on naturalness.

🇧🇷
-I can read some Portuguese thanks to my Spanish knowledge.
-I used to use it to read comics and watch videos in Portuguese a couple years ago, primarily Turma da Monica.
-I think I'm lower-intermediate level for understanding, and beginner for speaking.
