How can I change the flag of my account? If impossible, how can I delete my account?
To Tatoeba team:
I would like to change the flag assigned to Kabyle language or at least name my language differently, but I don't know how nor do I know if it's possible.
Concerning the flag, I wish to be able to put the Amazigh flag, but alas I can't with this account linked to Taqbaylit. Personally, I don't like the one created by the MAK; it is meaningless compared to the original flag. So I am thinking to creat & suggest another one to represent the Kabyle language.
It has something to do with the so called unified tamazight. I don't believe anymore in such a dream. The only solution left is imposing the Kabyle language (or variant as you may want to call it), but other Amazigh speakers refuse to sacrifice their languages / dialects. Go for example to Chawi websites and FB pages to know that.
NB: Here is how I thought years ago about the issue of a unified Tamazight ...

@ Mastan: Here is a short video recorded on a Facebook page of an Algerian Arabic speaker. This demonstrates the negative attitude of Algerian Arabic speakers towards Tamazight. Note that the owner of the page is a teacher; namely, an educated person. Now imagine the attitude of an illiterate person among them. So how can we spread the so-called tamazight (in fact a ghost language) among a population stubornly opposed to it? It will take centuries and by then all the Amazigh languages will have been extinct because we did not take care of any of them separately in its own natural environment.

Get an analphabet Kabyle to listen to a discussion or a song in any of the other Amazigh languages and you will surely discover that they merely understand a word or two of it. Even me who knows the differences between these languages, I find it so hard to understand a Chawi song or a Chelhi discussion. So how can we unify languages separated from each other thousands of years ago? It's nonsense to even try it. Can you unify today's German languages to make one unique language?

Sorry, Mastan, but saying that there is a total mutual understanding between the speakers of the different Berber "dialects" (in fact languages) is not true at all. A Tuareg will only understand about 1 to 2% of what a Kabyle says. A Mozabite can only understand about 10% of what a Chaoui says, etc. So let's stop lying to ourselves.

Sentence writers must make an effort not to write anything that comes across their mind. They should think a bit to produce meaningful and interesting sentences. I am wrong?
