We don't use 尊敬語 or respectful terms for a person who is in our inner circle when we talk with someone being outside the circle. So この方は is inappropriate. Strictly speaking お父さん isn't correct either, but it is accepted in casual conversations. The following are casual exemples:
こちらはお父さんです。
これはお父さんです。
この人はお父さんです。
For more formal situation:
こちらは父です。
I remember being taught that you should never say 私のお父さん, but always 私のチチ。 However, I feel like in reality, 私のお父さん is quite common.
@mookee: You're right. It was intended to resemble a formal situation, but it's never polite to refer to your father as この方,
@Scott: I'm not sure, I heard you use チチ specially in the case you talk about "yours" father (not always), and お父さん is 'totally' restricted to your own father, and people aren't used to switch that title at any situation.
