I might be mistaken, but the correct Mandarin for the current English translation would be 老板在那里吗?
And for the presently indirect French, 老板在哪里? (Where is the boss?)
or else it should be marked as "colloquial" - ?
CK, it is partially the answer: the phrase is irregular, much as its English variant. Yours is more "as we were taught at school")) i.e., my Mandarin proposal #1.
The problem here is that several languages are saying "Where is the boss?", while others are saying "Is the boss there?" Not sure where the sentence started.
Originally I had a 在那里 typo that should have been 在哪里, but not sure if the 老板 should be 那里吗 or 哪里 since the two seem equally represented. :)
I have no idea about the Uyghur, but Esperanto seems to say "where". Before disconnecting, I would wait for verification by an Esperanto contributor. Help! :)
