Lojban crash course (by no means complete, of course):
“do” = “you”
“djica” = “to want something for some purpose”
“tu'a” is some particle, it would take too much time to explain. Just ignore it for now.
“loi” = an article which applies to the following expression, in this case “gu'i tcati gi ckafi”. The article means this expression is to be interpreted as a mass (the “some” in our English sentence).
“tcati” = “tea” (simplified translation)
“ckafi” = “coffee” (simplified translation)
“gu'i” … “gi” is a construction to ask questions of the form “X or Y?” (as in “Do you want X, or do you want Y?”, possible answers include “X”, “Y”, etc., but NOT “Yes.” an “No.”.)
If a “gu'i” appears somewhere in the sentence, it becomes a question.
BTW:
“I want to drink some tea or coffee.” means this in Lojban:
“mi djica lo nu pinxe loi gu'a tcati gi ckafi”
“mi djica lo nu pinxe loi tcati ja ckafi”,
“mi djica lo nu pinxe loi tcati .a loi ckafi”,
(all three sentences mean the same thing, there are probably even more ways to express this)
