Hi Tatoeba. I have just registered here but couldn't find the answer to my question in the wiki or about sections.
I would like to know if Tatoeba wants to be a representative corpus or to just have as many sentences as possible or something else.
My reason for asking is finding sentences with dozens of versions just changing one word. Is this an intended use?

Tatoeba strives toward building a high-quality corpus, with sentences and translations that are correct and useful individually, and broad and diverse coverage of the world's languages. "Representative" describes our goal much better than "have as many sentences as possible".
However, there are indeed great numbers of similar sentences on the site. I've heard one contributor of such sets of sentences claim that people learn well from sentences that are very similar to each other, but I strongly disagree. Variety is extremely important in learning a language, even when one is an infant, since the human mind requires stimulation. Sadly, many contributors are involved in a quest to write as many sentences as possible as quickly as possible, and this motive probably even drives those who claim that they're doing it for other purposes.
I encourage you to use random search in order to increase the variety of the sentences you see, and to contribute diverse sentences yourself.

Thanks for highlighting this. I think that it is important to have at least 2 or 3 admins per corpus to prevent orphan corpuses when the only admin left the project or too busy.
Igider and me, will be happy to be the two other admins for Kabyle language.

Topic: "Hello, music!" is mistakenly recognized as Italian.
Body:
Hello! I want to add a sentence, which is a translation of "Hallo, Musik!" in English. When it's set to auto-detect the language, typed the translation in English, guess what, it posted as Italian, even through it's not in Italian.
The correct way to say that in Italian it's "Ciao, musica!"
Google's one has no problems. Why this one is worse? Please fix it ASAP.
