Tudom, hogy ez már sokszor előjött, de tényleg nem kellene angol mondatokat írnod. Majdnem mindegyiken javítani kell, és az az igazság, hogy a javítás után sem lesznek igazán angol nyelvű mondatok, sokkal inkább angolra átültetett magyar mondatok.
A fenti mondat is nyelvtanilag talán elmegy, de egy anyanyelvű nem mondana ilyet. Valószínűleg azt mondaná, hogy "If only I could..."

És ahogy mondtad, mi magyarok örülünk, ha valaki magyar ír - akár hibásan is -, de ez nem vonatkozik az angol nyelvre, ami eleve nem egy nemzet sajátja, mint a magyar, ráadásul a fél világ beszélni akarja, tehát olyan különlegesség jellege sincs, mint a magyarnak.

Lehet. Részben egyet is értek. Csak buzog bennem a tettvágy, és olykor nehéz magam visszafogni.
Bár kezdek áttérni arra, hogy megjegyzésként írom oda a külföldi verziómat, ha egyáltalán akarom.
