I wonder if both 私's are necessary

Note that this one is not owned.
If you want to study Japanese, it would be better to spend your time looking at sentences owned by native speakers.
You can easily browse such sentences using links on this page.

This is the kind of translation we find in English textbooks here in Japan to show students what each part of the English sentence means.

I think it may start to get irritating to keep asking people to check all the unadopted sentences, instead of just letting them browse through sentences as they want to. We have plenty of good Japanese sentences adopted by native speakers.
There is no more urgency with checking this particular sentence than there is for checking all the other orphan sentences.
Most of use here eventually understand that many of the unadopted Tanaka Corpus sentences and many of the sentences added by non-native speakers are often not the best example sentences to study.

自分のカメラなので漢字を「捜す」に変更しました。

二つともとってもいいっちゃぁいいんだけど、こちらは、「私は自分のカメラを捜しています」にして、もう一つ訳を追加しました。
[#9773861]私のカメラを捜してるんだけど。

Which one would you more likely use, 自分のカメラ or 私のカメラ?
