We have different varieties of Arabic, if you contribute in Arabic (with a green flag) it's supposed to be الفصحى.
For Arabic (Egypt) and Arabic (Gulf) we have different flags.

Really need to change the names to using parentheses, they're much easier to find.
I know we have to do this because we don't have a better language selector at hand, but it is unclear as to when we will have one. Until then, we should group language varieties together.
I agree. This could be used also for all the Chinese varieties we have on Tatoeba
You can use the German interface.

If I keep up to my plans, we should have one 4-5 weeks. For the next few weeks my focus is to redesign elements of the homepage, but once that is done, I'll work on the language selector.
