Oh, that's terrible news. He always seemed like the nicest, friendliest guy. From what little I know of him, my impression was that he took considerable joy in life, at least some of the time. It's very unfortunate that this was his end, so early. Life makes no sense.

I think it's a good time to get around to translating the sentences he wanted translated - the ones he would DM active users with. I didn't always get around to translating them when he sent them out, though I did do some of them.

I'm very saddenned to hear this. Ricardo was perhaps the Tatoeba member dearest to me, and we had such good rapport. I worked with him extensively, both before and after joining the language team, and I could not have asked for a better, friendlier partner.

I'm sorry and very sad to learn that. I have known Ricardo ever since I joined this website almost ten years ago in 2012. He was a true friend (both on this website and on social media). I remember his availability to help everyone at any moment, his utmost diligence to do everything he could to help someone with anything they needed. I remember his efforts to add some of the most undervalued and least known languages to Tatoeba. I remember his positiveness, his patience and his tirelessness. He truly was one of the best online friends I've ever had and one of the few people who make everyone love this website. Rest in peace, Ricardo.
