Can someone check the meaning of this sentence, please? Does it actually make sense? What does that "come home to me" mean?
No significaria "mandarme a casa"?
This one is mistranslated in a lot of the linked sentences. "Come home to me" is a figure of speech, not terribly different from something "hitting home" or making an impact. The sentence means the speaker finally understood their father's reproof.
