Maybe, "Greetings". "politeness formulas" can be used though it's more of a technical word.

Is it more a technical word then "formules de politesse" is in French? Cause if it isn't, it's not a problem to have technical words in a sentence, is it? :)
Anyway, as I understood it, "formules de politesse" is more than just greetings, but also things like "thank you", "excuse me", "you're welcome", etc, right? At least, that's what I intended when I wrote the Dutch sentence and explained it to the person who wrote the French sentence. :) So then "politeness formulas" would be much closer in meaning.

"Formule de politesse" in French, also means the formal expression required at the end of a letter.

"Polite phrases" would be good enough?

Sounds better to me. Thanks. :)
