I am glad to see that some contributors use Tatominer very regularly. Thanks to them, Tatoeba becomes also useful for more advanced learners.
Once a week, right after you post, I add translations for the first page of entries with source language set to Russian (the language I'm studying) and translation language set to English. It's a good way for me to learn.
To learn a new word, I also got into the habit of translating a few sentences from Tatoeba that contain it. When I can't find any sentence to translate that suits me, I add one myself and abandon it, hoping that a native speaker will adopt it.
