to be courage -> to be brave ?

> Life has its limits and no matter how I live, I want there to be courage and hope sent to future generations as in, "The Way He Lived."
Is "The Way He Lived" the name of a book or movie? Assuming it is, maybe something like this would work:
Life has its limits, but no matter how I live, I want to send courage and hope to future generations as was done in "The Way He Lived."
@Pfirsichbaeumchen, @CK, what does the Japanese say?

I found the Japanese strange. I asked a native, and he also found it strange. I think it’s supposed to say, “It is a life with limits, but if I do have to live, I want it to be a life that sends hope and courage to future generations so that they think, ‘As that person lived,’” whatever that last part is supposed to mean.

Thanks, @Pfirsichbaeumchen.
