
The comma should be a semicolon:
"I would like to buy myself a new computer; show me the best model."

I knew you would suggest two sentences (as I follow your examples practically all the time). Yet, I believe the current sentence can stay, as (a) I can imagine such a sentence, and (b) the other two sentences, both in French and in Italian, may exist on their own (and I believe the English is a proper rendition of both of them).
