Even with "I'll be able to" I find the second half sounds a bit odd. You're always able to do anything as much as possible. That's the definition of what's possible.
I'd say that something along the lines of "I'll be able to speak it nearly all the time" "I'll try to speak it as much as possible" would make more sense.
Still, the sentence (with CK's correction) is grammatically correct.

What I want to express in my sentence is that the guy goes in China for the purpose of speaking Chinese as much as he can (because maybe he can also where he lives, but he will much more occasion to speak it in China, and that's why he goes there)

Exactly. Actually sysko, I would change the "it's" to "it'd be" (since you're phrasing it as a conditional). "It's" kind of implies that you're already doing it.

Ah, sorry! I just saw CK's comment and took that to be the correct sentence. With "it's" (or "it'd", which I reckon is more grammatically accurate though not necessarily heeded) this sounds fine.

FeuDRenais FeuDRenais 6 septembre 2010 6 septembre 2010 à 12:56:39 UTC flag Signaler link Permalien

Sounds fine to me.

@CK: I disagree completely. That changes the meaning of the sentence, and is not what sysko intended, IMO.

sysko sysko 10 octobre 2010 10 octobre 2010 à 01:50:59 UTC flag Signaler link Permalien

@feudrenais yep :)

@ck What I wanted to express

I want to practice Chinese, I can practice in Paris, but as it's a french speaking country, even if I've some Chinese friend, we switch too much to French language. So I've decided to spend some times in China for the only purpose of speaking chinese as much as possible (my everyday life / my job will be the same as in France but as it's china I will be able to speak chinese at work etc.).
So it's maybe an answer to "why are you going to China, because you will have the same job as in Paris ?"

FeuDRenais FeuDRenais 10 octobre 2010 10 octobre 2010 à 01:53:11 UTC flag Signaler link Permalien

In other words, it's a short form of:

If I go to China, it would be for the purpose of speaking Chinese as much as possible.

FeuDRenais FeuDRenais 10 octobre 2010 10 octobre 2010 à 01:53:47 UTC flag Signaler link Permalien

(and now we know that this sentence is about sysko!)
