** Annotation: **

http://tatoeba.ueuo.com/annotations.html

You may have noticed that a number of us have been using "Annotation:" as a keyword in comments, so that if we ever get more than one kind of comment, someone can quickly grab all of these and put them into an "annotation" comment type.

I grabbed all such comments from last Saturday's exported data if you are interested in looking through what we have so far.

This is a large page, so be patient when it's downloading. Perhaps some less powerful devices will not be able to properly display this.

Here are a few numbers taken from sharptoothed's stats, sorted a different way, inspired by a recent discussion on the Wall.

** Milestone Passed **

There are now over 800,000 sentences on my proofread list of English sentences.

https://tatoeba.org/eng/sentenc...s/show/907/und

Of these 800,000+ sentences, over 540,000 (67%) have audio.

I don't think so, but you can reverse the sort, which in effect offers you an additional 1,000 search results if your query gets more than 2,000 results.

32,338 of Shishir's Spanish sentences have audio.

https://tatoeba.org/sentences/s...&has_audio=yes

17,244 (53%) of these are linked to English with audio.

https://tatoeba.org/eng/sentenc...es&sort=random

10,048 of the 32,338 have indirectly-linked English sentences with audio.

https://tatoeba.org/eng/sentenc..._link=indirect

Perhaps members who can link sentences (advanced contributors and above) who know both languages could increase the number Spanish-English audio pairs by browsing these sentences. Sorry, but at this time, you can't limit to showing just the indirect links, so you will also see the directly-linked English sentences.

** Stats - 2020-12-05 Native Speakers Contributions with Links **

http://tatoeba.ueuo.com/stats-2020-12-05.html

Since we have been getting a large number of additions which are not translations and also have not been translated, I thought that this week sorting the list by the number of native-language sentences that have links might be interesting.

CK CK 5. prosince 2020, upraveno 5. prosince 2020 5. prosince 2020 0:11:20 UTC, upraveno 5. prosince 2020 0:13:40 UTC link Trvalý odkaz (permalink)

For those interested, I generated a list for morbrorper a couple of days ago of all the sentences in last week's export that were rated 0 or -1. (unsure or not OK)

https://all.imfast.io/temp/rate...2020-11-28.zip

This is sorted by username and then language, so you can likely easily find your own sentences that have ratings under 1 (OK).

Remember that if someone created a "bad" sentence, then corrected it, and then our duplicate-merging script deleted the bad sentence because it matched a "good" sentence in the database, the bad ratings get moved to your good sentences, so not all of your sentences with bad ratings may have such ratings because they were originally placed on your sentences.

Until we run out of native-owned Japanese sentences for you to translate, I don't think you need to pressure anyone into proofreading all these.

I know how boring and tedious this can be. I proofread all the English sentences in the Tanaka Corpus up to a given length and adopted the ones that I thought sounded good and natural, editing the ones that could easily be edited, since they weren't already linked to various languages, which complicates editing. I ignored the long, multi-sentence examples, thinking I would eventually proofread those later.

Here are some sentences you could translate owned by 3 of our Japanese contributors with lots of sentences.

Of these Japanese sentences, ...

67,731 are owned by the 51 native Japanese speakers.

117,460 are "orphans" (sentences with no owners)

The rest are owned by non-native Japanese speakers.

For those who are seriously studying Japanese, I would recommend that you only trust the ones owned by native Japanese speakers.
