Multaj francoj estas konvinkitaj, ke "Cédric" estas kelta antaŭnomo, kaj nomas tiel siajn filojn, honore al Keltio, dum fakte temas pri saksa antaŭnomo, t.e. ĝermandevena; la saksoj verdire estas la plago de la keltoj, egale ĉu ili estas kimroj aŭ irlandanoj.
