子 - child, 少年 - boy. Are there're any question?
@DeSha
(I'm not sure I understand your reply but...)
the standard on tatoeba is to leave correct sentences alone and if you have another way of saying it in mind, add another sentence.
子 can be child, boy, kid (or whatever synonym you can find)
this sentence was fine as it was...
see: http://blog.tatoeba.org/2010/02...eba.html#rule5
and: http://a4esl.com/temporary/tatoeba/guidelines.html
As you said, '子 can be child, boy, kid'. You've put the word "child" as the first sense. So, it's really the first one.
I've read these rules, nevertheless I think it'll be better to use those words which are closely to the context. In this situation the word "shounen" is better I presume. So I don't think I should add another sentence because there isn't any 'another way of saying', it is the most correct alternative.
again the rules are quite clear, the original needs to be *wrong* for changing it to be justified...I've added the original back
anyway, enjoy contributing here :)
Year, the rules are quite clear :)
Okay-okay, I don't mind.
Though I can't fully agree with the idea of adding sentences with not first sense of the words, because people will refer to this site in the nearest future for searching very correct phrases :) Nevertheless, if you think it's right - I won't contradict you :)
