Is the difference between this one and "thanks in advance" that this one is more formal?
It seems to be used quite a lot, but I don't like the way it sounds. I wonder whether it is mainly used by people who don't speak English as their first language?
Anyway, I would use "Thanking you in anticipation." (more common, and sounds better to me). "Thanking you in anticipation." is more formal.
