** Important news for translations of the website **

I’ve been working to improve the translations of the website (not the corpora; the user interface) and address various problems. Here is a summary of the changes:
• Support for singular/plural forms of translatable strings
• Support for declined language names (this addresses http://tatoeba.org/wall/show_message/20124 and should allow more natural sentences in general)
• Changed strings format to something more explicit. Before, the placeholders were marked with things like %s, %d or %1$s. We now use the {keyword} syntax instead, so placeholders are more self-explicit.
• Support for contextualized strings. For strings that can be translated differently depending on their context, it’s now possible to insert different translations for each context. Just tell us if you need some strings to be contextualized.
• Support for developers comments. When a translatable string is somewhat difficult or particular, we developers can attach comments to it that are visible in all the languages in the Transifex interface.
• Review and cleanup of the strings. Some strings that were broken down have been joined, useless HTML markup has been removed, various bugs and inconsistencies have been fixed. You’ll need to retranslate about 30 sentences that have been lost in the process.
