
Sorry, not sure whether dinner here means a supper actually, as it is going to happen "tonight" :) Could you please specify the meaning?

I (an Australian English speaker) understand "dinner" to be the main evening meal, whereas "supper" would be something eaten later before going to bed. Supper would be much lighter than dinner in terms of the amount eaten.
