I see warnings like this on some public television programs in Canada and the U.S. But instead of the last sentence, if usually says: "Its content may offend some viewers." Perhaps that comes close to the idiomatic "rub (someone) the wrong way."

Okay, redone; the idiom was my shot at the Russian original, which isn't idiomatic; it says literally "provoke (excite?) objections (on your part)", which I was thinking isn't quite the same as 'offend', but then perhaps they're actually closer than I thought, since Russian does not have a precise equivalent to that word'; and if you feel offended, you will certainly have objections against the offending article.
