
I agree that for purposes of illustrating the use of 頭が固い the alternative sentence is better. I'll change the link.
The original "Our teacher really stands on ceremony, doesn't she?" is actually fine, but the "stands on ceremony" expression is probably a bit old-fashioned now. I wouldn't remove the sentence entirely.
