About Me:

Hi! I'm Babel or kisa Papesike. You can choose either moniker to use, it doesn't matter to me.

My pronouns, in English, are he/him or they/them (employing "themself"). If you wish to refer to me in another language, feel free to use either set's respective translation in said language.

Please notify me if you are to edit my sentences, even if the edit is small and/or inconsequential. I want to be able to complete the edit by myself to save you the trouble or explain my reasoning. Furthermore, it's bad practice to edit a sentence of an active user without stating the issue to the user and waiting for at least two weeks to make your edit.

If one of my Toki Pona sentences seems a little iffy to you, or it contains a blatant grammatical error that others missed, I implore that you ask for my reasoning on the off chance that I had a lapse in my better judgement whilst writing it.

Translations I publish do not necessarily align with my views, but my original sentences will, with the caveat that they will not always reflect my actual life.

sina kokosila la mi ike pilin ala a tawa sina. kin mi kepeken ala nimi "kokosila" lon lon.

Opinions on Tatoeba and its Workings:

In my opinion, the current process of Horus' merging sentences is a little annoying, as it always merges to the older sentence, irregardless of which sentence had the current form first. Therefore, if you write a sentence and someone edits a sentence they wrote before to be the same as yours, they can effectively steal your sentence.

Translation Projects:

Here are some search queries:

Toki Pona sentences without English translations: https://tatoeba.org/en/sentence...ord_count_min=

Here are some sentences that I've written that I would enjoy having translated:
"Happy Saint Hildegard's Day!" (This one especially into any conlang.)

"Does this need a disclaimer?"

"I enjoy listening to vocaloid music."

"Try not to forget punctuation next time."

Other Things:

An interesting statistic about my sentences:
Approximately 80% of my sentences are in Toki Pona, 17% in English, and 3% in German, as of December 14, 2025.
