While we see the the owner's name in the "show less" version, when browsing while showing all the things we need using the "show more" version, we don't see the owners' names, which means we still need to constantly toggle between the two.

Would it be possible to add a line above the tools, moving the sentence number and owner's name there, and always show all the tools?

This might likely solve some of the problems brought up by other members.

"Browse by languages" is useful if you want to translate the most-recently added sentences in a particular language. However, it might not be the best way to find sentences to translate, depending on what has been most-recently added.

You can get something similar, fine-tuning it to what you want, with advanced searches.

These are all examples for showing Japanese. For other languages, go to one of these and change the "Japanese" option on the right side of the page to the language you are interested in translating.

How can someone add the same sentence again as CC0 when that sentence already exists in the database under the original Tatoeba CC-BY license?

The answer to that is that you can't, I think.

I also think that it would likely be unethical to even consider allowing this.

I think that you shouldn't disable the traditional sentence design and force members to use the new sentence design until the website is fully mobile-friendly.

I know that one of the reasons that you haven't yet made tatoeba.org mobile-friendly is that you wanted to complete the new sentence design first.

My wish would be that you never disable the traditional sentence design, or at least delay disabling it for a year or so.

Note that we ask members to only adopt orphan sentences in their own native languages, so if Japanese or English is not your native language, then you shouldn't adopt sentences from the Tanaka Corpus.

Note that the "most recent updated date" changes if the audio if a sentence's text has been edited, so these dates do not necessarily reflect the age of the most-recently uploaded audio files.

For example, these 3 lists are near the top only because sentences on them have been edited, not because new audio files have been added.

I add to sentences to the audio lists on the same day I upload the new audio files

I didn't expect my private message to be publicly shown on the Wall.

This makes the "Did you ever try the Shtooka Recorder?" sentence sound wrong since people wouldn't know that I sent you a list of your German sentences for you to try recording.

Could you compile a list of sentences that I need to deal with and send them to be via the private messaging on tatoeba.org?

Tell me clearly what needs to be done.

1. move the audio
2. delete the audio.

3. unlink the audio temporarily so someone can correct it.

"Latest" is the date of the most-recently added sentence.
"Earliest" is the date of the first sentence added.

For languages that haven't had many contributions, you can compare these two dates to see how long a period there was interest in adding sentences for these languages.

Just tap again to reverse the current sort.

Dates for the audio files are not exported, so I couldn't add that data. I would have added that data, too, if it were available.

I added the earliest data in so you could sort by that field to see which languages were most-recently added. At least, that was interesting to me.

I wonder how many of these languages would consider counting 1 to 10 sentence.

Since the Tateoba Project's focus is on sentences, and one of our guidelines is that we want "complete sentences," I would assume that perhaps at least one of these languages might attach a verb-like tense or something else that would classify this sequence of numbers (1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, 10) as a sentence. This would imply that there wouldn't likely be a one to one linkable meaning between all the examples in this series of items.

Would it be possible to export the necessary data, so people could figure this out offline?
