tawa tan lawa mi -> tawa weka tan lawa mi [?]
ona li tawa weka tan lawa mi -> mi weka e ona [?]
“tawa weka” li pona tawa mi.
“mi weka e ona” ascribes way too much intentionality to the person doing the forgetting IMO. If I was talking along these lines I’d probably attribute agency to my brain to show it wasn’t intentional “lawa mi li weka e ona”.
Good point. Maybe "lawa mi li weka e ona". And in Pu, "weka" doesn't mean "forgotten", just "ignored". Maybe "weka" for "forgotten" is again my personal style.
Oh no you're right, 'weka' for ignored is a little used but very much in-the-book meaning.
That said, I think it's ok as it is right now. Thanks for the help :)
