"من؟" كافية وحدها في نظري. الأمر يعتمد على السياق طبعًا، فلو كنا نتحدث عن شخص أمامنا فستكون "مَن هذا؟" مناسبة فعلًا، أما في سياقات أخرى فلن تكون "من هذا؟" مناسبة.

"من؟" is enough on its own IMHO. It is context-dependent. If we are talking about a person in front of us, "من هذا؟" would indeed be appropriate, however, in other contexts it would not.
