Go ahead and delete it. It is otherwise identical with English sentences by Swift, brymck and patgfisher. There is also at least one repeated identical sentence in each of Esperanto, Portuguese and French. I know that often a sentence may be translated in a second language in more than one way, but multiple instances of the identical sentence in the same language are silly. Please rid Tatoeba of some of this baroquely unnecessary repetition.

I'm not sure why there is the policy on "straight," as opposed to typographer's quotes, but there may be justification for it. If so, why not also apply the policy to German, Esperanto and French quotation marks as well? Alternatively, you may discover that each of these languages has its own standard which should be applied. Since a multilingual site surely uses Unicode, there is no downside, as far as I can see, in allowing each national language its own preferred styling. Probably a script could be run every couple of months that, for each language, looked for all variations of quote marks and uniformly replaced them all by the correct ones for that language, whether German/Danish „OO“, French « OO », Norwegian »OO« or English “OO”.
