Oui, ce n'est pas n'importe quelle grand-mère, c'est la mienne. C'est ainsi que je me réfère à elle en tant que personne particulière.

maydoo, il n’y a pas de règle stricte dans ce cas-là. De manière générale, la majuscule est utilisée pour exprimer une déférence en français. La plupart du temps, on ne l’emploie pas dans les noms de parenté (mère, grand-père, maman, papa, tata…), mais il n’est pas interdit de la mettre, surtout si on veut exprimer une certaine forme de respect.

By the way, the same is true in English - a family title can be treated as a proper name when you're speaking of your own relatives. :)
