This sentence, initially linked to #2089120, is not very likely. A more likely sentence, if it describes a one-time action, would be:
My dog is going to his|her|its house.
The simple present would generally be used here only if there were more context to show when this action occurs in general:
My dog goes into|to his|her|its house when I tell it to.
Would "My dog is going back into his doghouse" work as a translation of the Japanese?
@JimBreen, given that this sentence is part of the Tanaka Corpus, but is not good as it stands, what do you recommend?
A better translation would be "My dog returns to its kennel". I agree with @small_snow that the past tense would be better.
There are 13 sentences containing 犬小屋 and most are better than this one.
So can this one be deleted or changed/unlinked?
