"for three days" -- continuation over a specified interval -- would be more appropriately translated with "ze'a" or "ca'o". "ca" itself denotes not such continuation but the point in time at which an event occurs. "come again in three days time" means "make the event of 'coming again' a point in the duration of 'three days'", and {lo djedi be li ci} is that duration.
Note that {cadzu ca lo cabdei} would mean not "walk for the duration of 'today'" but "walk at some point in the duration of 'today'".
