ノー勉 < no(英語)+勉強
"How was the test?" "Lousy! F, perhaps." "Huh? No kidding?" "I've forgotten about the test and haven't studied anything so I got that."
or .... "I've forgotten about the test so I've taken it without study."
?
ノー勉で(テストを)受けた = I took (the test) without studying at all
It's probably easier to explain the slang word this way:
ノー勉で → 勉強せずに
("I forgot we had a test so I hadn't studied")
How did the test go?
Horrible. I possibly got a zero.
Are you serious?
I forgot we had a test, so I didn't study at all.
とかですかねえ。fail は0点じゃなくてもできるので、そこはやっぱり区別したいです。
There's a little problem about 0点. If we take look at different grading systems, we'll find that in many countries it's simply impossible to receive 0. I wonder if we can use just the lowest possible mark translating 0点.
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/G...ems_by_country
But 0点 is not really a grade. It's a raw score. When there are 20 questions, for example, and when answer 15 of them right, don't you say something like 15 points out of 20 or 75 points out of 100?
