oui, en français on dit une "feuille morte" et non "une feuille sèche" qui ne serait pas compris. On ne fait pas de la traduction mot à mot ici, ce qui serait ridicule. On traduit le sens de la phrase, et c'est bien le sens de la phrase anglaise que j'ai traduit.
Par ailleurs, la phrase espagnole n'est pas liée à la phrase française, donc on s'en fout.

But as a native i would never say "une feuille sèche" or maybe only in very precise context (at least not this one). So in a word to word basis, yep it would be more "exact", but I think it's better to have the natural equivalent :)

Des traductions "exactes" ne veulent rien dire. "Traduire c'est trahir". Je pense que vous ne comprenez pas le processus de traduction. Les langues ont leurs usages propres, qui ne peuvent se traduire mot à mot, et c'est tant mieux, même si on essaie de nous imposer un seul modèle anglo-saxon...

8000 for Google in french means it is a mistake from people like you. There are 100 million french speakers, so if the phrase was common, even slightly, you should retrieve 100.000s of them.
You've got it all wrong and the context is perfectly set here.
Besides, here is a french sentence so you should either comment in French or abstain to suggest translations in that language if your level is not high enough to do so.
You're lucky I can respond in English, but it is rude of you anyway.
Nobody EVER EVER says "une feuille sèche" in French to mean a "dry leaf".
The only instance "une feuille sèche" would be mentioned would be in circumstances where dry leaves should be used as opposed to wet leaves, so as to make fire, for instance, or refering to a dry sheet of paper. But "feuilles sèches" never fall from trees in French. Only "feuilles mortes" do.
So please stop annoying native people with ludicrous comments and your ignorance of their language and of the translation process in general.

Apprenez le français ou abstenez-vous de commenter des phrases dans cette langue, qui plus est dans une autre langue.

oui, la courtoisie ici consistait à corriger mon français de manière intempestive, et le tout en langue anglaise, en insistant en plus...Il y en a qui n'ont peur de rien, mon poulet !
