Shouldn't it be with two 't'? I didn't menage to find out if it's a correct spelling or not.
It looks like "commited" is incorrect, indeed, although it seems to be common enough to deserve its own wiktionary entry:

The wiktionary entry cited by @deniko does unambiguously declare that "commited" is nothing but a misspelling. It is therefore always an error, and no dialect of English spells it any other way than "committed."
Could somebody please fix the speling? ;)
