I am a German computer scientist interested in languages, especially Japanese and Chinese.

My native language is German.

I am quite fluent in English. I have passed the CPE test and am interested in English sentences which contain idioms, phrasal verbs, etc.

My Japanese is pretty good, I have passed the JLPT level 1, though there is still a lot of vocabulary to learn.

My Chinese is rather basic. I used to study it more vigorously, but given the time limits, I now focus on English and Japanese.

My main focus within tatoeba is to translate the Japanese example sentences into German. By translating the sentences in my L2, I want to learn new vocabulary, useful phrases, etc. I hope my Japanese does not become odd due to the oddities in the Tanaka corpus, hehe.
