I think they do.

It's a story that was published in one book together with other stories. (What's a сборник in English? :))
I can't find any hints that it may have been translated into another language.

Me too. Well, I'm fine with translating them, as long as those translations will not replace the By- and From- tags with the authors and titles in the original language of the work. Otherwise it might become hard to find what was the original title.

You mean in the "Latest comments" section?
But that's what we have email notifications for, don't we? To help you notice that someone commented on one of your sentences.

These three can also be deleted, cause they're not needed anymore.

Something like that would be really nice. :) But then you'd have to display the other sentences while translating, and I thought you purposely chose not to display them so that it would always be clear what language you're translating from?

Oh, and when you drop the "confirm" popup for linking, please don't drop it for unlinking. :)

I've already seen "TV-series title" being used.

CK, why are "non-sentence", "book-title", "pg", "impolite", and "xxx" under the heading "For Moderators"?

Or instead of making a new list, you could add them to the existing list "English sentences in need of correction, confirmation from a native, etc..."

I noticed something similar yesterday with my "Dutch sentences to be translated into any language" list. It now says it has 102 sentences, when actually there are only 20. There aren't over a hundred sentences that are or have been in the list, though, so I don't think it has something to do with deleting sentences.

Hebrew is a Semitic language, from the Afroasiatic family, and Yiddish is a Germanic language, from the Indoeuropean family. So they shouldn't be too similar. :D

By the way, it would be nice to have some kind of transliteration if you ever have some time left to implement it. :)

Hey Yeshua! Nice to see you here. :)

(Sorry, I have nothing to add to the topic.)

Bug notice.
When I add sentences on the Contribute page, the "Add to list" button doesn't work, unless I first orphan (and adopt it back, but this is not necessary) the sentence.

Dorenda Dorenda 2010年5月18日 2010年5月18日 UTC 下午1:21:14 link 永久链接

I've been seeing this message for three weeks, and only now I noticed there's an "of" missing (or a redundant "the"). :)

"WARNING: The language of some (of) the sentences you have added could not be detected."

Dorenda Dorenda 2010年5月1日 2010年5月1日 UTC 下午2:30:54 link 永久链接

Well, I still have over 600 sentences to go before I catch up with Portuguese, and even more for Arabic, so if work hard, there still is a chance for you to stay ahead of Dutch. :P

Dorenda Dorenda 2010年4月30日 2010年4月30日 UTC 下午9:34:41 link 永久链接

That one I can hear completely.

But it's not because of a voiceless end of "siècle" that I don't hear the end, cause if I download the file and play it in a seperate player, it's there.

Dorenda Dorenda 2010年4月30日 2010年4月30日 UTC 下午8:03:30 link 永久链接

Nice. :)
There's just one strange thing, I don't hear the end of the sentence. I only hear "Ses travaux perdureront pendant des s..."

Dorenda Dorenda 2010年4月29日 2010年4月29日 UTC 下午8:59:23 link 永久链接

I more or less finished translating those three lists. Could you make me another two lists with Russian and German sentences (or refill the existing lists with new sentences)? The Ukrainian list can be deleted.
Thanks. :)

> identify all the sentence which have both the same language and the same text

So it also merges duplicates that are not linked whatsoever?

Dorenda Dorenda 2010年4月25日 2010年4月25日 UTC 下午6:59:01 link 永久链接

Yep. Yay, 2 sentences already! :p

Dorenda Dorenda 2010年4月25日 2010年4月25日 UTC 下午4:23:23 link 永久链接

As far as I know, it's mostly a matter of spelling, but I'll let it to Demetrius to tell you more about it. :)

What I wanted to say: Belarusian is not displayed in the list of numbers of words in each language on the main page.

Dorenda Dorenda 2010年4月24日 2010年4月24日 UTC 下午3:55:48 link 永久链接

Okay, I adapted it. The results won't always be right, though, cause sometimes it's just not possible to see from the form of a word what type of word it is and thus what belongs to the ending. For example, "koromyslo" is a noun, so only "o" should be removed, but the script will think it's a past tense verb and remove "lo". I tried to choose the least bad options...
Anyway, is there some way to test it? And where should I send it?

And one more question. How can I make the thing also remove the superlative prefix '{n}{a}{i'}' from the beginning of words?
