Duplicate sentences are not added, but imho I would use a clearer message, like "the sentence was not added because it already exists", or something like that. Currently, a message showing that the sentence exists appears when one adds a duplicate sentence from https://dev.tatoeba.org/ita/sentences/add, but no message at appears when adding a duplicate as a translation to an existing translation, for example, I copied this sentence: https://dev.tatoeba.org/ita/sentences/show/3843306 and added it as an exact translation of the linked sentence, but I received no messages at all.

Concerning linking, maybe a confirmation mask would be very useful. I tried to add a duplicate sentence as a translation of another sentence - I copied https://dev.tatoeba.org/ita/sentences/show/3843306 and added it as a translation of https://dev.tatoeba.org/ita/sentences/show/3843302 to test linking, but I received no feedback at all, so a message saying like "*first sentence number* and *second sentence number* were linked correctly", along with a confirmation mask saying like "do you really want to linke this sentence ("sentence text") and sentence # *sentence number* ("second sentence text"), since could add a translation as a mistake

The random sentence in the homepage disappeared even if I did not activate the option to hide it
