I don't think we can fix this. "come up to expectations" is not an expression that I've ever heard. There are other extant English sentences that are correct. Delete this one?
It's not incorrect. However, I wouldn't say it this way, which is why I didn't adopt it when I proofread the Tanaka Corpus.
