so, it's "the car" or "my car" ?

Amastan Amastan July 12, 2012 July 12, 2012 at 9:35:45 AM UTC flag Report link Lînko payîdar

It's "my car" ^v^

In Berber:

"Takeṛṛust-inu" --- literally: "car-my" > "my car" ^v^

"Ameddakel-inu" --- lit. "Friend-my" > "my friend" ;-)

Tanemmirt a ameddakel-inu ;-)

Amastan Amastan July 12, 2012 July 12, 2012 at 9:37:33 AM UTC flag Report link Lînko payîdar

"Tanemmirt" > thank you

marcelostockle marcelostockle July 12, 2012 July 12, 2012 at 9:45:57 AM UTC flag Report link Lînko payîdar

Tanemmirt ula a ameddakel-inu! (I assume that's right :P )

Amastan Amastan July 12, 2012 July 12, 2012 at 10:10:44 AM UTC flag Report link Lînko payîdar

I like what you have written ^v^

In order to say "thank you too my friend", we would say:

"Tanemmirt ula i kecc a ameddakel-inu" -

Word for word: "Thanks even to you o friend-my".

Tanemmirt (thanks)
Ula (even)
I (to)
Kecc (you - masculine)
A (o - used to call someone)
Ameddakel (friend)
-Inu (my)

By the way, nowadays I am posting simple sentences with a specific pattern (groups of sentences with the same structure or paradigm). This is intended to show the conjugation of many Amazigh verbs in different contexts.

One of the difficult things in our language is its conjugation. It's not as difficult as that of some languages with complex conjugation, but a learner of Amazigh has a lot of verb forms to learn and learn how each form is conjugated.

This is what I am trying to show to possible learners in Tatoeba.

I said that Amazigh conjugation is not very complex. There are around 20 verb forms that are very often used in this language, and if you learn them, you can become an advanced learner.

Let me give you a simple example so that you have an idea about Amazigh conjugation:

A verb with the form "C1C2u" ("C" = consonant / "u" is vowel "u"):

Bdu = to start
Bnu = to build
Fru = To solve

Bdiɣ = I started
Bniɣ = I built
Friɣ = I solved

Nebda = We started
Nebna = We built
Nefra = We solved

So, now, I think it will be easy for you to guess how to conjugate "Rfu" (to get angry)^v^
