I have a spare key to my house hidden outside.
外の隠れ家のスペアキーを持っている。
The Japanese doesn't match the English, right?
I think it should be 家のスペアキーは外に隠してあります.

I agree.
Bunbuku, maybe you could create a couple of example sentences with 隠れ家.

Does "外の隠れ家" sound like a natural phrase to you?

I think 隠れ家 is usually outside. So, 外の隠れ家 is a bit off to me.
However, children tend to create their own hideout inside their house. Perhaps they might say that to distinguish between them.
Thankfully, @h_aibe has already added the sentences with 隠れ家. :)[#10673586] [#10673585]

I've added my translation, and unlinked [#184883].

Thanks. It was the only example with スペアキー so I've dropped the original and switched to 家のスペアキーは外に隠してあります.

If the other one seems slightly off to a couple of us, maybe we should just delete it.

I wonder if @TRANG would object.
I'll temporarily mark it in red, and leave it up to TRANG to remove the red or delete it.
Bunbuku did come up with a scenario in which it might possibly be used, but I wonder if it might feel a bit contrived.

I wouldn't object to #184883 being deleted.

@JimBreen
Note that we now have several new sentences with スペアキー, if you want to include them.
